Invoice Discounting

Unlike pubs, breweries and microbreweries sell most of their stock through pubs and other breweries, rather than direct to the consumer.

This involves the provision of credit facilities of up to 60 (sometimes 90 days), which ties a significant amount of funds up in working capital.

This funding can be unlocked through the use of Invoice Discounting.  This is a mechanism, whereby up to 90% of the value of your invoices can be received immediately, with the balance when the customer pays.

Whilst we have access to over 50 discounting providers, there are probably only a handful we would recommend to the brewery sector.  We have seen too many breweries let down by false promises from discounters and finding themselves “locked in” to long agreements with expensive and inflexible funders.
