SIBA (The Society of Independent Brewers)

With growing credibility and campaigning success, SIBA has come to represent the broad spectrum of the independent brewing sector and is now one of the most authoritative and respected bodies in the brewing industry.

SIBA continues to pursue its original mission:
“To campaign on behalf of independent brewers to ensure that they have the best possible opportunity to bring their goods to market”.

IFBB (Independent Family Brewers of Britain)

IFBB currently has thirty members who are all long established independent brewing companies in the UK, with varying corporate structures but a common thread of family involvement in an executive capacity.
IFBB is open to new members who operate substantial brewing and/or pub interests and who share
same company profile,

The IFBB has the following aims:

  • To promote British beers, especially cask conditioned ales
  • To protect the unique heritage of family brewing companies in Britain
  • Increase Family Brewers' market share every year
  • To engage with Government and ensure that our views are heard
  • To defend the structure of tied pubs by ownership

CAMRA  (Campaign for Real Ale)

CAMRA, the Campaign for Real Ale is an independent, voluntary organisation campaigning for real ale, community pubs and consumer rights.
CAMRA was formed in March 1971 by four men from the north-west who were disillusioned by the domination of the UK beer market by a handful of companies pushing products of low flavour and overall quality onto the consumer.
CAMRA's core aims to promote real ale and pubs, as well as acting as the consumer’s champion in relation to the UK and European beer and drinks industry, remain to this day.
In the present day, CAMRA has 139,000 members across the world, and has been described as the most successful consumer campaign in Europe.
